With the French Open outstandingly won by Nadal after a three year Grand Slam drought, it can really only mean one thing – it is nearly time for Wimbledon. Within the English psyche, strawberries and cream & tennis simply go together. It is officially the start of summer even though the centre court roof does feature quite frequently due to the summer rain.
Like strawberries and cream, Thomas Lyte and tennis go together. As the official Designers and Makers of a number of the biggest trophies in tennis, our silversmiths have skillfully handcrafted these designs in our London workshop. Through time old traditional processes like hammering, spinning and chasing, our trophies are unrivalled in their ability to capture the essence of each individual tournament.
Our silversmiths also restore some of tennis’s oldest trophies, The Davis Cup and The Fed Cup. This ensures the value and style of the trophy is uncompromised for generations to come. As guardians of the craft, we strive to ensure that the high levels of skills possed by our silversmiths are shown in the complex lines and structures of any trophy that crosses our workshop door.
