Saturday was an exciting day for Rugby and Thomas Lyte, as the finals for both the RaboDirect Pro 12 and AVIVA Premiership took place.
Congratulations to Leinster for lifting the totally unique trophy, which Thomas Lyte was commissioned to craft in 2011. The 60cms trophy is hand-crafted from 8.3kgs of sterling silver with the league branding highlighted in gold plate. In addition to the trophy, Thomas Lyte designed and crafted the winners and runners up medals and the engraved tankards that were presented to match officials.
Saturday also saw the Northampton Saints win the AVIVA Premiership final, beating Saracens and taking the trophy. Thomas Lyte continues to work with this prestigious rugby tournament by supplying the gold-plated winner’s medals, silver-plated runners up medals and presentation pieces for the match officials.
This great weekend of sport was concluded by Arsenal Ladies win in The FA Women’s Cup, securing Arsenal a double FA Cup victory this season. The FA Women’s Cup trophy was one of the first prestigious trophies to be made in the Thomas Lyte silver workshop and due to their recent commission from The FA, Thomas Lyte is now the official makers of the FA Cup trophy for the men’s and women’s tournament.
