Moments before the semi-final draw, Presentation Sports unveiled the new WE League Cup trophy. The trophy was designed in Egypt and handcrafted in London by the master silversmiths at the Thomas Lyte silver workshops. The same workshops craft and restore many of the world’s most recognisable elite sports trophies.
Using a combination of traditional silversmithing and goldsmithing skills, and cutting-edge modern methods the trophy, the making processes included 3D printing, hand-spinning, hot forging, electroplating, polishing, and engraving.
