Financial Times, UK – The J12 Boat Race Trophies Unveiled

Created for the CHANEL J12 Boat Race, the Men’s and Women’s trophies were formally unveiled at The Presidents’ Challenge on 30th September, with Thomas Lyte’s craftsmanship and story behind them featuring in the Financial Times.

The matching trophies were designed by Arnaud Chastaingt, Director of the CHANEL Watch Creation Studio, and handcrafted in sterling silver by British luxury goldsmiths and silversmiths Thomas Lyte. Inspired by the distinctive design language of the J12, each trophy combines a traditionally crafted silver cup with a bold contemporary frame, which encloses the cup and runs through its centre. Each trophy required more than 320 hours of skilled craftsmanship to create.
