Making the ICC Champions Trophy

Made in our purpose-built, London-based silverware workshop, the ICC Champions Trophy is more than just an trophy; it is a statement of cricketing supremacy. An honour that only the world’s best teams can attempt to claim. As bespoke trophy makers, the trophy was subject to our meticulous silversmithing processes. These involve hand-spinning, expert polishing, and detailed engraving. Subsequently, we can ensure that the trophy not only stands as a testament to the tournament’s rich history but also serves as a lasting legacy for future champions. Now affected with the craftsmanship of Thomas Lyte, the trophy carries an enhanced sense of prestige, making it an increasingly coveted prize among cricket’s elite.

Visiting countries with both rich cricketing heritage and emerging nations, the trophy will be showcased around the world. Having been passed through, starting it’s journey at our London workshop, this bespoke trophy now carries a greater significance as it travels across continents, inspiring future champions before it is finally lifted by the best team in ODI cricket.

About the ICC Champions Trophy

First introduced in 1998, the ICC Champions Trophy was established as an elite ODI competition, bringing together the best in global one-day cricket. Unlike the ICC Cricket World Cup, which spans multiple weeks, the Champions Trophy is an intense, short-format tournament, often referred to as the ‘mini World Cup’. It features only the top eight ODI teams, ensuring every match is a high-stakes encounter.

Historically, the tournament’s format has evolved, beginning as a knock-out competition before transitioning to a round-robin and knockout structure. The most recent edition was in 2017, and won by Pakistan. The ICC Champions Trophy solidified its reputation as a prestigious event in the international cricketing calendar. Now, after an eight-year hiatus, the ICC Champions Trophy returns in 2025.
