British silversmiths Thomas Lyte are the designers and makers of the Creative Dimension Trust Annual Award medal.
As Royal Warrant Holders to His Majesty the King and dedicated advocates for the next generation of artisans, Thomas Lyte has proudly handcrafted and donated this prestigious award. Designed by Thomas Lyte’s in-house Design Team and meticulously crafted by Idris Tetlow—Thomas Lyte Silversmith Apprentice and a former CDT Annual Award winner—the medal recognises an outstanding alumnus who has demonstrated exceptional skill over the past year.
Produced and donated in celebration of the Creative Dimension Trust’s 10th anniversary, the medallion symbolises CDT’s commitment to providing access to world-class expertise, mentoring, and career pathways in craft and design.
The Creative Dimension Trust is a registered charity offering free workshops and work experience to talented young craftspeople. From stone carving and jewellery making to embroidery and patisserie, CDT provides invaluable education, with workshops led by recognised specialists in their fields. This one-of-a-kind, handmade medallion is plated in 24-carat gold and expertly cut, filed, milled, engraved, polished, and assembled at our London fine-silverware workshop. The front face of the medallion serves as a canvas, engraved with a depiction of the winning craft. The inaugural award was first presented in March 2025, and features a silversmith at their bench.
