Players and officials involved in the final were awarded stunning Adobe Women’s FA Cup Final medals designed and handcrafted in Thomas Lyte’s workshop in London.
Designed by Thomas Lyte’s in-house medal desigers, the medals – gold for the winners and silver for the runners-up – were the first in the history of the tournament to have ribbons that went round the players’ necks – with the striking new design proudly on display as Chelsea Women defeated Arsenal in the delayed final, in December 2021.
Thomas Lyte’s new medals moved away from the original medal’s traditional design and replaced it with the current logo, a depiction of the trophy that was lovingly handcrafted in our London workshops in the 90s. As with both trophies, it was important to The FA, that both men’s and women’s medals were similar in design and stature.
