Thomas Lyte are the proud designers and makers of the finalists medals for the United Cup. A brand new mixed-team tennis competition, The United Cup is combines players from both the ATP and WTA.
A total of 18 national teams compete for the trophy, with the 11-day tournament being played across three Australian cities, Sydney (Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre), Brisbane (Queensland Tennis Centre) and Perth (RAC Arena), and the final taking place in Sydney.
The 2023 tournament, which carried US$15 million prize money and rankings points, drew in some of the biggest names in the game but was ultimately won by Team United States. The victorious US team received gold-plated medals crafted by the expert silversmiths at Thomas Lyte, with the runners-up in the Italian national team receiving silver medals.
The medal design draws synergy with the design of the United Cup trophy, also designed and made by Thomas Lyte, and features an eye-catching spiral of 36 golden strands, representative of the 18 mixed doubles partnerships and the unity of this special new tournament.
Both the winners and runners-up medals were presented complete with a branded ribbon, with a bespoke silk-lined medal case crafted for each recipient to take home.
