Thomas Lyte are the designers and makers of the PREM Rugby Cup, having been commissioned to design and make the trophy when LV took over the sponsorship of the – then named – Anglo-Welsh Cup in 2010. We had also made the previous trophies under the Powergen and EDF Energy sponsorships, respectively.
This unique and distinctive trophy was made from sterling silver with gilding on the inside of the trophy. It stands at 50cm high. To complement the trophy, Thomas Lyte designed and made the medals presented to the winning teams and runners-up of the competition.
The tournament is a rugby union knockout cup competition, featuring 10 English Premiership and Championship clubs.
