Thomas Lyte are honoured to be the makers of The Nikolai Semashko Eurobasket Trophy. Commissioned by FIBA and designed by Radiant Studios in 2016, this basketball tournament brings together Europe’s top 24 men’s national teams.
Standing at 26.5cm in height and with a diameter of 25cm, this trophy incorporates recognisable details from the world of basketball. Featuring a hammered finish which references the texture of a basketball, this trophy is a truly stunning creation. The gold plated rings encompassing the trophy feature through all the FIBA continental trophies and bring a sense of consistency to the tournaments.
The decorative rope border leads into the engraved trophy’s name and roll of honour, with the previous winners’ names listed around it. It is finished with a black semi-gloss wooden plinth. Weighing a total of 4.5 kg, this trophy truly honours Nikolai Semashko and his love of the sport.
