Thomas Lyte are humbled to continue our association with Radiant Studios and FIBA as the Makers of the FIBA Asia Cup. Revealed on the 30th of May, 2017 at the FIBA Asia Cup Official Draw Ceremony in Lebanon, this trophy is traditionally battled for by 16 teams.
Exquisitely handcrafted by our team of silversmiths in our London workshop, this trophy took over 30 hours craft hours to make. This included 14 hours of polishing and 9 hours of plating to achieve this enduring design. In stunning detail, a basketball net pattern was chased around the cup and collar in the middle to give this trophy a true connection to the competition itself.
Combining tradition, heritage and culture in a modern design, this trophy features the same gold plated band in which ‘Federation Internationale de Basketball Amateur’ is written, consistent with the other newly designed FIBA trophies. Standing at 55cm tall, a total of four kilos of sterling silver was used in its production.
