Thomas Lyte are the Designers and Makers of the RFU Sir Edmund Hillary Shield. We have always been especially proud of the RFU’s 2008 commission to create the Hillary Shield rugby trophy honouring the late Sir Edmund Hillary and his contribution to New Zealand and Great Britain, and more so after England’s historic victory over world champions New Zealand.
Chris Robshaw had the honour of lifting the impressive shield for England once more and helped to commemorate Sir Hillary.
The stunning silverware was hand crafted at the Thomas Lyte London workshop by our master silversmiths from 9KG of Sterling Silver and measures over 2 feet in diameter.
