As a tribute to the late Munster and Ireland legend, Anthony Foley, European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) commissioned Thomas Lyte to design and make a trophy in his honour. The Anthony Foley Memorial Trophy was first presented to the European Player of the Year in 2017.
Standing at 30cm tall, this trophy is a fitting way to honour Anthony’s memory. Using skilled precision and centuries-old techniques, our skilled craftsmen embodied the spirit of rugby by engraving the core values into the summit of the trophy. Featuring inspiring words like solidarity, loyalty, team and respect, this trophy reflects Anthony Foley’s galvanising force as a great player and leader in the world of rugby.
Finished with a gold band and red accents, it is an honour for us to be involved on a piece so close to rugby’s heart.
